Mamelodi Sundowns have shown that there are crucial links between certain players and their coaches. This helps them beyond measure whenever they encounter challenges on and off the field. Others even feel that the coaches are their father figures in their lives, since they spend a lot of time together. Which then makes them have pivotal moments and conversations about their wins and losses. Now Sundowns star Sipho Mbule has spoken openly about his head coach Rulani Mokwena for constantly being in his corner, even if things didn’t go his way. Which has pretty much helped put their relationship in a great place.
Mokwena wanted to get the best out of Mbule after joining Downs before the start of the 2022/23 season. As it turned out, he had a hard time at SuperSport United, after rumors that he was seen drunk. Worse still when he didn’t play in SuperSport due to discipline problems. However, the talented midfielder has been trying to put it all behind him as he has an incredible mentor in Chloorkop. “You don’t find many people who believe in you, like me, I don’t find many people who believe in me like him. [Mokwena] it does,” he told Robert Marawa at MSW.
According to the Bafana star, since joining the Brazilians, Mokwena has been someone he can always count on. As he is constantly controlling you and he wants you to push yourself to achieve bigger and better results. “He pushes me every day and makes me realize how good I am. Sometimes even I am not aware of the things I can do,” said Mbule speaking with Robert Marawa.
