The chief cleric of a popular church in Lagos has prophesied crisis in the Nigerian military and said the crisis could even impeach the Army Chief of Staff.
Primate Elijah Ayodele, who made the prophecy in his recent book, said a document on the ongoing terrorist crisis in the northeast of the country would indict Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai.
According to the cleric: “A document will indict the Army Chief of Staff over some of the developments in the war on terror in Nigeria.
“The spirit of God says that most of the soldiers involved in the Boko Haram war exposed the game plan of the military to the insurgents.
“I anticipate that a document will charge the Army Chief of Staff with war crimes in the war on terror in Nigeria.”
The country has been fighting the Boko Haram terrorism problem in the northeast of the country for more than 10 years and there seems to be no end in sight to the end of the terrorist attacks.
Many people have called for the dismissal of the heads of the services, with various accusations pointing to complacency at the highest echelon of the armed forces.
Primate Elijah Ayodele’s recent prophecy pointing to the crisis in the Nigerian military could be reason to re-evaluate the fight against Boko Haram insurgents, who have become a thorn in Nigeria’s skin.
This is not the first time that the primate has made prophecies about Nigeria, in 2019 he predicted that President Muhammed Buhari would win re-election. And Primate Elijah Ayodele also predicted in March this year that a vaccine against the deadly coronavirus would soon be found.
