Pastor Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has joined other Christian organizations in kicking out the Business and Related Affairs Act, CAMA.
The law signed by President Buhari gives a minister the power to appoint an interim committee over an organization or church where misappropriation is believed to have occurred.
Pastor Adeboye who spoke through his Head of Media and Public Relations, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, said: “The position of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the leadership of the church on issues like this is not always different from what the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN.
“We always align ourselves with whatever the position of the CAN and PFN leadership is on issues like this. The Redeemed Christian Church of God does not make any decision that is in disagreement with the position of CAN and NFP and the same applies with respect to this very issue.
“Dad will not take a position different from that of the two organizations, CAN and PFN. CAN and PFN have spoken about the issue of CAMA and regarding the Redeemed Christian Church of God that is our position as well. We are aligned with that position.” Pastor Adeboye the spokesman said.
