Old Bridge Pasta: No charges will be filled against man who dumped hundreds of pounds of pasta in New Jersey woods – Stars Obituary

Old Bridge, New Jersey—— The mystery surrounding the trail of spaghetti in a small New Jersey town has finally been solved.
Officials in Old Bridge, Middlesex County announced that no charges will be filed against the man who dumped more than 500 pounds of pasta in the woods earlier this month.
The unidentified man has a history of mental illness, community advocates said.
Residents of Old Bridge were taken aback when mountains of macaroni, spaghetti and macaroni littered the creek in Veterans Park.

Police believe giant uncooked spaghetti, more than 25 feet in length, were removed from their packaging in the wooded area and dumped down a creek.
Officials said they were initially unaware of the incident because no residents called or reported it beyond a Facebook post.
After the report was generated, two public works employees arrived to clean up the area.
Authorities said they were able to dispose of all the pasta in less than an hour.
