Makayla Bryant Death- graduate student killed in Apartment shooting
Makayla Bryant who was killed Wednesday in the 1200 block of Stuckey Avenue as 22-year-old MaKayla Bryant, a Florida A&M University grad student.
Preliminary investigation revealed the shooting happened on Wednesday at approximately 5 p.m. outside an apartment within the Providence Pointe apartment complex, off Lake Bradford Road.
Bryant suffered at least one gunshot wound. She was transported to a hospital by a friend, TPD said.
She was a graduate of FAMU with a bachelor’s degree and was a very well-known member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority

MaKayla Bryant, known by family and loved ones as MK, has made a heavenly transition to be with Our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022. MaKayla was a beautiful, brilliant and accomplished young scholar from Chicago, Illinois. MaKayla proudly graduated from the illustrious Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in the fall of 2020.
