Kim was a 1979 graduate of Central High School in Chattanooga. She continued her education at UTC as a music major where she was a member of the Chattanooga singers and the UTC Chamber Singers.
It was there in the lobby of the music building that she met a piano major named Greg and for Kim, it was love at first sight. Greg and Kim married after Greg finished his Master’s Degree and of course, the wedding had fantastic music.
