Helicopter flies past raging wildfire as it rips through Canada forest | News – Stars Obituary

A helicopter flies over the raging fires ravaging Canadian forests on Thursday, June 8.

Video released by the BC Wildfire Service shows the West Kiskatinaw River wildfire burning 10 kilometers (6 miles) east of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia.

Local residents were ordered to evacuate their homes.

Fire activity is “expected to increase further” due to forecast winds Saturday, officials said.

More than 420 fires are burning across Canada from British Columbia to Nova Scotia, affecting air quality in U.S. cities like New York City and Chicago.
