CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Earlier this month, a Clearwater police officer captured an alligator that was found swimming in a residence’s swimming pool.
Officer Kyle Bingham single-handedly got into an altercation with the scaly intruder from a swimming pool in a rural area, according to a release from the Clearwater Police Department.
The young alligator measured 5.5 feet long before being released into nearby Chautauqua Lake.
“Police in Florida are a different breed,” Clearwater police wrote in a release.
